Good morning Placentia Library District Patrons,

In an effort to mitigate the spread and impact of the coronavirus, please note the following changes during March 14th - 31st: 

• All programs and events are cancelled. 

• Eggcitement is cancelled.

• Proctoring services is not available. 

• Bookstore is closed. 

• Bodhi Coffee is closed. 

• Computers are not available. 

• LOTs items will not be available. 

Our staff will be available to take requests for pickup at the community meeting room. You can request books, DVDs, audiobooks, and video games. To place a request, please call 714-528-1906 x209 or x210. Our staff will let you know if the item is available and if so you can pick it up immediately. All items on hold must be picked up within 48 hours otherwise they will be made available for others to enjoy. Request fees will be waived during this time. Additionally we will continue to offer passport services. These services will be available seven days a week. 

Our staff will take this time to clean and sanitize our collection, furniture and equipment to ensure they are ready for your use when our building is open again. We recognize many patrons may be staying home during this time as a precautionary step to protect themselves and their families and we encourage everyone to take advantage of our online and pickup services.

We will post daily messages on our website, email and social media to keep you informed. 

We look forward to providing you and your family with reading, educational and entertaining materials as you take this opportunity to bond and create new memories at home. On a personal note, my family will be picking up a DVD from the Library before we head over to Craftsman and Rich Farm for lunch and dessert. We will treasure our extra family time reading and watching movies as my children are home for the next three weeks.
