Placentia Library Director Message (May 15, 2021), May 15, 2021

Dear Placentia Library District Patrons,

On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), announced fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks indoors as well as outdoors. Additionally, Governor Newsom also announced the State is anticipated to be fully open on June 15th.

Like some of you, our team had questions how these announcements affect our patrons and our team. For starters, these recent announcements will not change our current safety measurement as we continue to adhere to state and local guidelines. Face masks, social distancing, hand sanitizer stations throughout the library, sneeze guards, hand washing, and constant cleaning remain unchanged.

We anticipate the County will release new guidelines soon and we will share them with you as soon as we receive them.

We look forward to returning to full operational hours – 7 days a week with in-person programming beginning in September.

Have a very pleasant weekend!

Sincerely,

Jeanette Contreras

Library Director
